Cambridge and District Toy Library

for children with special needs

All about Cambridge and District Toy Library

The Cambridge and District Toy Library loans out toys and resources to children (0-7 years of age) who have special needs and who live in the Cambridge and District area.

The library is based at the Child Development Centre in Addenbrooke's Hospital.  It is open on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month from 10-2.30pm.

The joining fee is £1.  It costs 25p to borrow a toy, and these can be borrowed for up to 3 months.

We aim to provide toys which help the development of a child in various areas – gross and fine motor, sensory, speech and language, cognitive, musical and imaginative play.

To request a toy, please email the Toy Librarian (cambstoylibrary@live.com) or ring during opening hours on 01223 216662.

Toys can be picked up on Mondays – parking is free for 30 minutes outside the Child Development Centre.
